Separation is just in your mind, 2011, Karel conducted the unvisible Eiffel tower orchestra

Babikja – film composed of various images of people’s faces. The most important image in the film is the face of me and my grandmother. Through the blend I have tried to see into her. (When I was looking into her photoalbum with photos of her and her friends, I usually think about the people at the photos, how important they were tfhroughout her life and which of the relationships were key ones for her. I like the expression “key relationship”. It may seem like someone entered into your soul and opened the lock of your heart.)

Maaristaan – however, it may seem that Maaristaan merely represents dressing scarves as a specific fashion style, it focuses visual attention at the soul and inner beauty of women. Irrespective of the load of current highly politicized and sharply perceived social agendas associated with provocation of both wearing (in the West) and not wearing scarves (Islamic East) Maaristaan draws attention to “hidden” advantages of veiling when considering alienation and dehumanizing trend of uncovering a woman’s body and putting a woman on pedestal as a bare object and a mean of mindless consumption and consumerism.

Recognized : video made from photographs. Music by Dj Borsch, edited by Filin Krug. Scott Peck in The Road Less Traveled says that the term “to recognize” is ordinarily used “to know something”. In fact it means “to know something again” from the prefix “RE”(again) and “cognize”- to know. Photographs used in the video are an abstract collection of about two repetitive rolls of some symbols.
